Teisha Sanders, MSW
Teisha Sanders is the Project Director across for the 5-Key Model for Reentry project across the first four states: Florida, Kentucky, Pennsylvania, and Texas. She coordinates all activities across study states and helps ensure that the project operates smoothly. Previously, Ms. Sanders served as the Reentry Project Manager for the Texas team. In that capacity, her work focuses on managing research and practice interventions that address mass incarceration and recidivism by improvement in prisoner reentry programming. Before joining FSU in March 2018, Ms. Sanders served as the mental health court liaison for a Texas based local mental health authority, and has worked with a Pre-trial services agency, providing evidence-informed criminal justice programming to previously incarcerated adults returning to the community. Ms. Sanders holds both a Bachelor of Arts in communications and sociology, and a Master of Social Work, specializing in physical, mental, and behavioral health, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
