Teisha Sanders, MSW
Teisha Sanders is the Reentry Project Manager of the Texas team at the Institute for Justice Research & Development's 5 Key Model for Reentry Program. In this capacity, her work focuses on managing research and practice interventions that address mass incarceration and recidivism by improvement in prisoner reentry programming. Before joining FSU in March 2018, Ms. Sanders served as the mental health court liaison for a Texas based local mental health authority, and has worked with a Pre-trial services agency, providing evidence-informed criminal justice programming to previously incarcerated adults returning to the community. Ms. Sanders holds both a Bachelor of Arts in communications and sociology, and a Master of Social Work, specializing in physical, mental, and behavioral health, from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
