Faye Taxman, PhD
Faye S. Taxman, Ph.D. is the Executive Director of the Center for Advancing Correctional Excellence and a University Professor at George Mason University. Dr. Taxman is recognized for her work in the development of the seamless systems of care models that link the criminal justice with other service delivery systems, as well as reengineering probation and parole supervision services, and organizational change models. Taxman’s work covers the breadth of the correctional system from jails and prisons to community corrections and the needs of both adults and juveniles involved with the criminal justice system. She is the PI for the JCOIN Coordination and Translation Center.
Taxman is an inaugural member of our National Scientific Advisory Committee, where she provides expert guidance on the science we conduct at IJRD and helps us expand the reach of our data-driven solutions to criminal justice reform.
Taxman holds a PhD in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Rutgers University.
