My interest in criminal justice work began when I tutored at-risk youth during my undergraduate studies. Many of my students were affected by the incarceration of a parent and I felt driven to work with incarcerated people as I saw firsthand how mass incarceration harms entire communities.

IJRD is a big part of why I chose to attend FSU for my masters, and I am excited to work with this organization. I am particularly interested in working to achieve more effective reentry for individuals leaving incarceration.
