Maurice Bulls, M Ed
Maurice Bulls joins IJRD as a Program and Training Specialist where he will prepare team members to work with justice-involved individuals in jails, prisons, and community settings. Bulls brings a wealth of experience to IJRD from the fields of both education and criminal justice. He is a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers (MINT) and has deep expertise working to increase individuals' motivation for engaging in educational and change processes. Prior to Joining the IJRD team, Bulls provided training in motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral treatments nationally and internationally in mental health, substance use, and medical settings. His primary areas of focus are curriculum development, cultural competency, trauma interventions, and integrating physical activity into re-entry programming.
Bulls holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice (Law Enforcement) and a Masters in Education (K-12), both from the University of Toledo. He is currently in his final year of doctoral studies in Educational Administration from Walden University.
