Silvia Obregon, MSW, LSW
Silvia Obregon is a member of our Ohio team and part of our inaugural class of Post-Master's Fellows. Prior to joining IJRD, Obregon worked with the Seminole Tribe of Florida on their Hollywood Reservation in the Tribal Court. She also worked with mothers involved in child welfare and drug cases at an inpatient substance use disorder treatment facility and served as a forensic social worker in the dependency division’s social services unit at the Office of Criminal Conflict and Civil Regional Counsel in Broward County, Florida. Obregon is passionate about helping families navigate the criminal justice system, ensuring due process, and reducing return to incarceration after release.
Obregon holds a Bachelor of Science degree in both Criminology and Sociology and a Master of Social Work degree, all from the Florida State University.
