How to Collaborate with Researchers
Collaborating with a researcher is a great way to evaluate your organization’s programs and services, develop new programs or expand your existing programs, identify critical gaps in your service delivery, and infusing new ideas into your organization. This training will ensure that your collaboration is successful.
In this training, you will learn how collaboration with a researcher can help you evaluate and improve your organization’s programs. You will learn how to find a compatible researcher and strategies for developing a strong mutually beneficial partnership. This training is perfect for nonprofit administrators and staff eager to conduct a program evaluation, develop a new program, or expand the scope and reach of their services.
At the end of this training, trainees will understand:
- The benefits of collaborating with researchers
- How to identify a compatible research collaborator and be prepared for productive dialogue when discussing a proposed project
- How to develop a relationship with the researcher to ensure the needs of the organization are met
- What a logic model is and how to use logic models to enhance research collaboration
